Don’t know what bullshit orthorexic vegan ‘diet’ Anne Hathaway was on....apparently it took her eating meat again to ‘reboot her brain’! Think it just rebooted her ‘flock’ mentality really. Creamy Vegan Salted Custard Pudding that’s 6 ingredients and takes less than 25 minutes to make. Yes, please!! 🤤 // INGREDIENTS 1 cup full fat canned coconut milk 3 tbsp coconut sugar 1/4 tsp salt + a sprinkle of flaked sea salt on top 2 tbsp cornflour/ aka corn starch 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk 1/2 tsp vanilla extract INSTRUCTIONS Combine 1/2 cup of the coconut milk, coconut sugar and 1/4 tsp of salt into a saucepan on high heat. Bring to a boil, then turn down the heat until it’s a high simmer. Continue to cook, stirring constantly throughout until it thickens slightly and becomes darker in colour. Mine takes about 13 minutes overall. Take the pot off the heat and whisk in the cornflour until smooth, making sure there aren’t any lumps. Whisk in the remaining 1/2 cup of coconut milk, almond milk and vanilla extract and place the pot on medium to high heat. Make sure to stir regularly, I like to use a heat resistant silicone spatula for this. The custard will start to form first on the bottom, when you notice this happening, give it a whisk to make sure the custard stays smooth (continue to whisk now and then). When it starts to thicken, turn down the heat to low. Still stirring regularly, keep cooking until it’s a thick custard consistency. Mine takes about 5 minutes. Tap the bottom to remove any air bubbles and pour the custard into 2 ramekins. Cover with cling wrap avoiding air bubbles on top as best as you can. Set aside until it has cooled slightly, then refrigerate for 3 hours. (see notes above for an alternative option and the one I used for the photos). Sprinkle with flaked sea salt. Buffalo cauliflower salad 🥗with homemade ranch dressing 👩🏼‍🍳. Lunch is a perfect opportunity to put those leftovers 👍🏻to use and thanks to this leftover buffalo cauliflower, this salad literally took me no time at all to pull together this afternoon 🙌🏻. As we get #older , we naturally tend to doubt a lot of things. We also tend to reminisce about how good we looked in our teenage years, how slim or muscular we once were, and sometimes blame everything else on family, work, kids and other reasons. . . I have had a fair share of all those doubts, lies and blames too. Even till today, i still doubt a lot of things. But whenever that feeling creeps in, I swing to action because if not, it can be demoralizing and weakening. . . I am sharing this video and this post because I believe there are people in their 30s like me or in their 40s or even 50s and 60s, who's dream is to look their best as they age but can't seem to find a way to motivate themselves because  they fear it is over for them or they can't pull it off. . . Or more so because the #fitnessindustry is dominated by the younger generation or by groups of people who live off steroids while lying under the name #naturalfitness , making people who aspire to look fit naturally fear it is not attainable. . . I want you to understand that you're not alone in that fear. I do too sometimes. But rather than fear, I try to flip the wheel around by doing, by seeking the truth, by living it, by learning, by working hard to look better and better as I age, but not with steroids,  rather by eating real natural #wholeplantbased foods. . . I knew I could lessen the suffering and pain of other living beings by making a small change in my life. Knowing I was a part of something deeply wrong with the world, I made a choice to no longer be a part of it. In my work, I've always tried to lead by example. It was time to set an example and stop personally profiting from the needless suffering and death of beings I've always claimed to love. It was time to align my actions with my values. Free yourself from the shackles of your conditioning and see the vastness of life around you. Now, see it hurt. Now, do something about it. 🌱Cauliflower + Yellow Lentil Curry🌱 Because I could eat curry everyday!💛Have a fab day friends. By @cookingforpeanuts 🌱Recipe: Sauté 1 finely diced onion is 2 tbsp heated neutral oil a few minutes until translucent. Add 4 minced garlic cloves, 1 tbsp finely grated ginger, 1/2 tsp turmeric, 1/2 tsp curry powder and sauté another minute. Add 4 tbsp red curry paste and mix while sautéing another 30 seconds. Celebrating the end of the long weekend with some guilt free thin crust vegan pizza!! 😍🥑🍅 I have been waiting for this holiday for so long because I finally have time to cook again 🦄🌈 It’s so easy to be absorbed by your work and am really grateful for having the time to cook for my family again 💕💕 I hope you all had an AMAZING holiday💛😘 Ingredients: For the crust 1. 1 tbsp yeast 2. 1 tbsp sugar 3. 70g warm water 4. 120g all purpose flour 5. 1tbsp salt For the toppings: 1. 3 tbsp Mr Organic Basilico Pasta Sauce 2. Sheese (Gouda style) - as needed 3. Sheese (Cheddar style) - as needed 4. Avocado - as needed 5. Cherry tomatoes - as needed 6. Onions - as needed Instructions: 1. Pre-heat the oven for 20min at 200 degree 2. Mix the yeast and sugar in warm water and wait for around 5-10 min 3. Mix the flour with the salt and then mix in the yeast mixture gradually and knead until it’s mildly sticky 4. Roll the dough until it’s very thin and transfer it to the baking sheet 5. Top the dough with the sauce and the toppings 6. 😱🤔🔥 ・・・ 🔥 The principles of fat loss🔥 - Follow dancudes ! - One of the key factors that I speak about when it comes to fat loss is living a lifestyle, not a fad. When you treat everything as a lifestyle, you begin to develop habits that unconsciously make losing fat so easy. On the other hand, when you follow a fad, you generally are going to fall off the wagon quite quickly and get right back where you originally started if not at a worse place. When I say living a lifestyle, I mean developing the foundations of nutrition which is whole food without overeating, as simple as that is yet few understand. Once you have that, then we can talk about the other things involved. So, in terms of fat loss, you need to first have the foundation of eating whole foods and putting yourself in a caloric deficit through exertion. To lose body fat, being in a caloric deficit is important, but not as important as how you get there. We want it through exertion not food restriction. This means eating what your body needs in whole foods, then burning off extra calories through exerting more energy. That can be an extra walk, extra cardio work in the gym post strength training, etc. Once you have that, the next most important thing is strength training to build lean muscle mass. The more you have, the easier it is to lean out whilst getting stronger and more shapely. Then we can talk about sleep which some may even argue to be more important than strength training and honestly I wouldn't disagree all that much. Then we can get to the nitty gritty like protein intake, nutrient timing and even meal composition. You got to have the foundation before we get to the other players involved. Aqua-what? How about Vegan chocolate mousse using aquafaba (or chick pea juice). Tastes deliciously light and fluffy. You wouldn't know the difference to be honest-you just need to whip the chick pea juice for longer! (It's a work out and pudding in one!). ⠀ .⠀ Top tip: pop the cans of chick peas in the fridge to speed up the whipping time!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ . What's your favourite vegan dessert?⠀ .⠀ .⠀ Recipe here:⠀ https://buff.ly/2M0EHL5⠀ Preparation time: 25-30 mins⠀ .⠀ Serves: 6-8⠀ Ingredients: ⠀ Aquafaba from 2 X 400g tins of chickpeas ⠀ 200g of dark chocolate bars (at least 70% cocoa solids)⠀ 1 tsp. vanilla extract⠀ 2-3 tsp. stevia⠀ ¼ tsp. sea salt⠀ Layering options: Granola, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, cacao-coated goldenberries, cacao nibs, chopped up healthy snack bars⠀ .⠀ Method:⠀ Melt the chocolate in a microwave or using a bain marie. Set aside to cool slightly.⠀ Drain the chickpeas and save the aquafaba. Pour the aquafaba into a large bowl and using electric beaters, whisk for 10-15 mins funtil you get fluffy white cloud-like peaks.⠀ Then fold in the melted chocolate with vanilla, stevia and salt using a metal spoon, trying not to knock out the air.⠀ Then simply spoon into your vessel of choice.
