If we TRY - like really try... Then our creativity takes control somehow, and we do infact end up connecting the dots somehow; might not be what we expected it to be. Might not be with whom we expected it to be. - Competition toh hai na yaar har cheez mein. Toh agar hum apna best dena ki "koshish" karte rahenge, toh kahi na kahi kuchh toh kar hi lenge. - Whether it's studying for entrances, whether it's sports, whether it's life or whether it's about someone you like. Do what you can do to make things go the way you'd like them to. And then give yourself a pat on your back, and tell yourself "well played!" whether it works out or not. - Because we're so much more than what we think we are. And to find out how amazing our soul is, we HAVE to stick around and just TRY. ♥️🥉🥈🥇  #dontgiveup   . . . . . . .   #mentalhealth     #mindset     #healthylifestyle     #lifestyle     #weightlosstransformation     #healthyketo     #waterfasting     #weightloss     #insulinresistance     #intermittentfasting     #hormones     #onemealaday     #fitnessmotivation     #lchf     #obesity     #pcos     #reversingdiabetes     @drericberg     #usa     #diabetes     #healthyeating     #fasting     @drjasonfung     #science     #germany     #india     #transformation     #fattyliver     #stress     #weightlossjourney     #sleep

I have polycystic Ovarian Syndrom (PCOS), which is a hormonal disorder that affects many systems in women's bodies, especially reproductive and endocrine. Common signs of PCOS is irregular periods, problems around fertility, increase in weight (especially around the belly), insulin issues and hair (more than / less than.) No two bodies have the exact same PCOS, but 1 in 10 women have it. Treatments are varied, but all aim to create a balance of hormones and systems in your body. My relationship with my body has always factored in PCOS and how I approach   @More   to Love Yoga is greatly informed by my personal experience trying to better manage my symptoms. I'm honored to be speaking at   @PCOSCON   this year. Resources like   @PCOSAA   help raise awareness, provide education, and celebrate community. You read that right - women with PCOS tend to have lower Vitamin D status than their “healthy” counterparts. The prevalence of Vitamin D deficiency in women with PCOS is striking: one study found Vitamin D deficiency in 44% of women with PCOS (versus 11% in control groups), while another found deficiency to be as high as 70%! Lower Vitamin D levels were associated with metabolic syndrome features in PCOS women, such as higher BMI, fasting insulin (and HOMA-IR), blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. Part of this might be explained by genetic polymorphisms (variations) for the Vitamin D receptor in PCOS women. Supplementation in Vitamin D deficient women with PCOS can improve metabolic status and markers of inflammation. But it is of course most beneficial when repleting vitamin deficiencies! The bottom line: Vitamin D deficiency should be screened in anyone with PCOS. Have you been tested? . . . . . This post is for educational purposes only. . .

So today's post is a two-fer because I forgot to post yesterday due to a migraine 🤢 . . 1️⃣ our   #nicu   miracle was born 3.5 months early. Weighing in at 1 pound, 13 ounces and a length of 13 inches. Best way to describe it, so people can visualize, is the weight and length of a bag of spaghetti. Our 92   #nicu   stay brought ups, down, laughs, tears, the whole kit and caboodle. But our child fought every step of the way to prove herself and I will never be more proud of her for that!   #nicuawarenessmonth     #nicuawareness   . . 2️⃣ Taking care of yourself when you have   #pcos   is sometimes hard. I currently do not take anything for my   #pcos   but with some of my symptoms getting worse, I will be looking into options. This multivitamin will probably be my starting point and going from there. Remember   #cysters   that it is important to take care of yourself and as always sending love 💙   #pcosawareness     #pcosawarenessmonth

Let's get this first thing out of the way: hysterectomy is not actually a solution for the many things it's still rather barbarically touted as a solution for. (If your doctor is recommending that you get a hysterectomy for endometriosis, please please please get a second opinion). . Anyway, what this post is really about your potential to heal. Yes, you still have it even if you've had a hysterectomy. Yes, you have it no matter how many surgeries, births or c-sections you've had. Yes, you still have healing potential because you have the ability to feel pleasure in your body. . Allowing yourself to feel pleasure in your body - from your clitoris, from exercise, from sitting under a tree, from sinking ever so deeply into the micro-reactions of a feather running across your skin... will balance your nervous system, help you heal your relationship to your Self, and gives you permission to be alive. . You are not broken. Use the opportunities you have to forgive and explore your body. Now is the starting point. . . . .
