Today was one of those days... Ya know the ones where your little one woke up many times during the night, they weren’t in the mood for school, you forgot to put the laundry in the dryer, you had to change their shirt 3x before you got out the door {because it was too tight, too itchy, etc} + then, you feel like you’re winning just because you got them to school on time... I legit got home from school drop off and took an HOUR nap. My energy levels have been steadily on the rise😍 as I heal adrenal fatigue, but today I just felt burnt out. I gave myself LOTS of grace. I modified my workout. I got only the most important tasks done and ditched the rest. And thankfully, since I worked hard to be my own boss, I can do that when the occasion calls for it. Why can it feel challenging to do that for ourselves sometimes? Give ourselves grace to be human? Take a bit off our plate? Rest? Ask for help? It’s so silly isn’t it? So, this is my Fri-YAY PSA to my mama friends out there to LOVE and speak kindly to yourself + give yourself what you need most, just as much on the struggle bus days as you do on the days you SLAY. Cause truly, we wear so many hats, have so many important jobs, manage so many things, juggle like we’re in a constant 3 ring circus with our own monkeys and sometimes you just have to stop for a moment and celebrate your damn self! BUSY, I’ve realized—- isn’t a bad of honor in this season of life, it’s a recipe for burn out. And when in doubt, BLAST your favorite jams on the way to school pick up, or put on a podcast that breaths LIFE into you, remind yourself you’re a badass, then throw on some huge sunglasses— because they’re basically yoga pants for your face.😂✌🏻😎

I get 30+ varieties of whole fruits, berries & vegetables into my diet EVERY DAY 🙌🏻🍎🥑 — do you? . Through my years of studying holistic nutrition I’ve learned how important it is to flood your body with good nutrition — food is the most powerful form of medicine. . So I get very protective & specific about what I put in to it...why? I have seen & felt how poor nutrition can affect not only your physical health but your mental health as well ❤️ each and everyday we have a choice to fuel our bodies with foods that will either prevent or progress chronic disease, I choose the first option . I’ve suffered through having TERRIBLE migraines,I’ve struggled with my skin & hormonal health, I’ve had low energy & digestion issues so I know how hard & confusing it can be to find a way out of that. . Most of us over complicate what eating healthy means or what it costs. The most simple and purest form of fuelling your body is through the power of plants and whole foods! Let food by thy medicine and medicine by thy food.” Hippocrates ⁣ ⁣ I really try and avoid prescribed medicine wherever possible, preferring to always try a more holistic approach first. However sometimes you have to admit defeat 😬 😷 ⁣ ⁣ To combat the damage the antibiotics will do to my gut I’ve been making sure I’m getting some awesome healing foods inside me! Starting with a smoothie in the morning; this one is vegan vanilla protein powder combined with frozen blueberries and raspberries plus digestion plus which a magic little sachet full of prebiotics, probiotics and digestive enzymes. Antibiotics kill all bacteria in the gut- good and bad so it’s super important to flood the gut with good bacteria if you’ve been sick!⁣ ⁣ I’ve also been keeping hydrated, resting and sleeping when I’ve needed to..basically listening to what my body needs, not stressing about my to do list and just taking it easy💜⁣ ps smoothie + bubble bath = 🙌🏻
