Apart from being just plain delicious, there’s more reasons to love stewed apples ~ they’re high in a type of fibre called pectin, which is great for #guthealth 💩 and makes the apples easier to digest than if you were to eat them raw👌🏼
Obviously drown them in cinnamon, or we can’t be friends.
1 medium apple
All the cinnamon
A splash of water
1️⃣Chop your apple into cubes and add to a pot with a splash of water + drown in cinnamon.
2️⃣Cook with the lid on until apple is soft and caramelised, and water is absorbed. This takes about 5-10 minutes.
3️⃣Spoon on top of your oats!
